The Beast Hits 40
Who is The Beast you say? The Beast is my 2004 Tundra pictured directly above... and the reason I've named my truck The Beast is because it's just over 19 feet long... and it is a beast on the road. It's also especially beastly when you are trying to park in a normal sized parking lot! C'mon now you can admit it... you know you named your car too!
So, just the other day The Beast turned 40... that would be hitting 40,000 miles on the ol' odometer. And if that's the case... I'm hoping he lives to be well over 200!!! :o) Anyhow, we celebrated by spending over $500 for his birthday. He got new wheels, new brake pads, a couple quarts of oil, and a bath! Doesn't sound like much for $500 does it?!
So how many miles are on your automobile these days? Any records out there??

I think my baby is at 120,000. I keep hoping and praying that my ford expedition will last for another 100,000 and then I'm getting a hummer:) YAY!!!!!
you WOULD put a picture of your truck on your blog! (all shiney and clean too!) I put 23,000 miles on my Nissan Sentra in just ONE year... that just shows you how many trips to LA I had to take for school... someday that will all be over, but until then "poncho bean" will have to put in a lot of work! Congrats on your 40K celebration!
oh man, don't remind me! my honda accord (wagon!) has 215,000 miles on it! which is just peachy because it runs great... but it won't pass the smog! I need to deal with that when I get home. errrr.
But my wife and I did buy a brand new car a few months ago... a Mazda 5! It's cool. I think we've already put about 9,000 miles on it!
Rebecca - Pancho Bean!?!? You seriously had me laughing out loud with that one!
Amy - You need to just sell the Expedition and go for it... remind me to tell you the story of how I bought my Tundra.
Blaine - 215,000! That's a ton! I bet it'd pass smog anywhere besides California!
