Apple Recall
Is it just me... or do you feel like you could scramble an egg on the battery after it has been on for more than 5 minutes!?!? I seriously start to sweat if I leave it on my lap for too long? My old roommate Alex just led me to CNN and this article on Apple's Battery Recall.
I got so excited because I was sure that they had fixed my problem and that I was going to be able to use my laptop like the rest of the world... on my lap! But I was bummed to find out that it only includes specific older computers and not the new MacBook Pro. Does anybody else have this problem with the MacBook Pro? Should we all be expecting another recall? Should we all flood Apple with more burn stories? Or is it just my laptop that has this issue?

wow! Yea... the laptop burning my lap is the least of my worries...
Yeah, I have the same problem...along with the screen freezing, applications randomly quitting, DVD burner connection failure and when it gets REALLY cranky it will just randomly shut off and I cant turn it back on for a bit! :(
I'll blame the fact I forgot to log in on my laptop too ;) haha
I have a 17 inch G4 laptop and mine gets super hot as well. I'm afraid to leave it running when I leave the house. Especially with all this craziness going on.......
those laptops might get hot but you're sizzlin'
I have a 1 year old aluminum powerbook, it gets stinkin hot sometimes! Its really unpredictable though. One day I'll just be doing email and it's like overheating, then the next day I'll be doing images and stuff in photoshop and it's fine! Weird...
My batteries qualify for the recall, so I guess I should take advantage of it eh.
